The books requested will be used in the classroom to create books clubs. Each student can choose a book he/she is interested in. The student then joins a book club with 5 other students who will be reading the same book. Students will read and discuss the book they chose with each other over the course of the class. My goal is to have students read a minimum of 6 books a semester. I want to give students opportunities to choose books that interest them so they enjoy reading. While they are reading books they enjoy, I will teach them vocabulary, comprehension and fluency.
