Being flexible in the classroom is the key to success, and that goes for students and teachers! When students have been given the option of where they want to learn they are motivated to be a productive citizen in the classroom. My students have shown positive changes within their work ethic simply because they are given the choice that is best for them. We are not a one size fits all classroom and I need help in providing these students a variety of seating options so they can determine what is best for them. Students being highly engaged and having less disruptive behavior is a Win-Win for ALL. The items within this project will empower my students to make effective decisions. The wobble chairs and cushions will allow students to seat and move more easily when working collaboratively on a project. These products allow the student to exert the energy but not cause distractions within the group. The carpet gives students an opportunity to lay or seat on the floor more comfortably than the cold tile floors. Everyone succeeds if the expectations are clear and have been modeled for better understanding. The easel will allow the students and myself to model and display examples for the everyone to reference so there is no misunderstandings. Help me empower my students to lead the way!
