Introducing the world of clay through tile making and hand building. Wedging is the first step and most crucial part to succeed in making a ceramic work of art. It not only brings the clay to the right consistency for production but also cancels out any air bubbles that will cause problems later in the process. Any artist with the hopes of being successful in this medium knows that wedging is an absolute must! I would love for my students to have the best chance at success when starting their clay journey. My hopes would be to continue into clay portraits and wheel throwing throughout the year!
