Our theme - A Rainbow of Possibilities - accents the diversity of our classroom, hence, the multi-colored paper bins. The Flex-Space Double-Sided Teaching Easel would be a wonderful teaching model. Presently, there is no easel in the classroom. Directions would be written on this easel for the students to follow. Each group of students has a "Project Manager" responsible for ensuring the directions are communicated and followed by their group of students. Instead of using numbers, our groups are by color - and the colored bins would be an easy way for the students to transition. For instance, the green group would look for the green colored bin for their "classwork/assignment". Students would spend less time figuring out where to go and spend more quality time completing the assignment/project. The Easel and Colored Bins would be used every day during small group time and centers. The Flex-Space Double-Sided Teaching Easel would also be an important tool for modeling during Writing Workshop.
