Our students suddenly went remote in March 2020. I did not have a desk or chair at home to teach from. I made due, I took an old table and a friend brought me a chair. After one week of teaching sitting down I was in excruciating pain in my lower back. I am a teacher, I am a special-needs teacher, I am not used to sitting all day, eight hours a day and teaching. So I adopted , I found a shoe rack and set it up on top of my table and it became my stand up desk. Now flash forward to a new school year we are in person learning in Cherry Creek schools but we have just been told that we are going to go remote again. I still don't have a proper desk. I'm hoping that with this donors choose, I can get a proper desk for when we go remote and continue to teach my special needs students.
