These supplies will help me create a calming corner in my classroom where students can go to when they need to calm down, take a break, or just need some alone time. Many students come to school with a lot of stress and need a place to feel safe and secure. My goal is to create a space where they can relax and release some of their worries and stress and help them learn how to manage their emotions. The crayons will be there for students to color a picture of how they feel if they have trouble verbalizing their feelings.
