Our 5th grade Social Studies and Language Arts curriculum is integrated into a Humanities course, focusing on human rights through the study of United States History. I am building a library of books that intersect and support the topics we are learning in the Social Studies strand. If each student has a book to read, they have the opportunity to put their individual sticky notes onto pages as one of our learning strategies for close reading. Our school is small and on a tight budget. Help us build a library of books for a deeper appreciation for human rights, as well integrating our lessons with these books!
