With the changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this form of literature will help my students engage in fictional and nonfiction stories. My students are ELLs and when they are exposed to different stories it also helps broaden their love of reading. It is a gateway for them to use their imagination and see and read the different genres of literature. My students use the many text features in the Story works to understand why the author used them to fulfill the message. With distance learning, my students will be able to view it on their devices or use a hard copy.
