I am excited and prepared to make a difference in the lives of these students. I will help these students increase their communication, social, and developmental skills to be able to live a self sufficient life. Dividers: The students require a structured environment. In order to facilitate this, I have set up my classroom in various centers. These centers are the key to help the students to focus on one activity at a time. In order to make this possible, room dividers are needed. The less visual stimulation they have, the better they are able to concentrate with their task at hand. I am requesting two room dividers to help me complete my classroom setup. Small area rug: One of the centers is for reading. This is where we sit together on the floor to read books. The students need a soft area rug to sit on for comfort and to make this experience enjoyable. The items requested in this proposal will make a large impact on the students in this class giving them a better opportunity to have a successful academic year.
