A library is essential for building on the reading skills in an upper elementary classroom. Having a class set of library bins to store and organize our books will allow students to choose the appropriate books at their reading level for independent reading. It is essential that students have access to a clear and organized library in their classroom. They will also need whiteboards to practice their math skills in class. This will be a useful math tool for daily practice of math skills especially during guided practice and to review different strategies. Additionally markers with erasers will set up students for success for allowing more focused time on math. The donations to this project will help provide essential tools my students need to assist them in their math and writing development throughout the year. By having these resources, my classroom will move towards providing the best environment for my students to learn in.
