In Theatre the students work hard to learn different acting skills. The students spend most of their time learning and fine-tuning the skills of improv, character development, voice inflections, blocking, body language, and other acting skills in order to share a story with someone else. Getting this one microphone is just the beginning to a big project of replacing almost all of the microphones in our program's sound system. Currently, our program has 16 microphones of which only 12 work some of the time. Because of a technical issue/development, we are losing 8 of our 12 mics this year. The multi-purpose room is too large for the students to simply project, especially when there is a background track behind musical performances. Our program needs this microphone in order for the students to be able to culminate their hard work and share their message with their audience.
