Our kids are highly motivated, conscientious learners from a low-income school district in Manatee County, Florida. Many of our students plan to go on to college and will be the first in their family to do so. Our health career explorations program exposes these students to a wide variety of health careers, and this bed will allow us to create a mock hospital room where our students will be able to practice clinical care in an authentic space. We have been working for years for this program to progress to a place where our students get hands-on experience and feel confident and empowered as they prepare for college and career.

About my class
