The Get Your Teach On conference is a professional development known to teachers across the United States. I was first exposed to this conference a few years ago while researching professional development opportunities. As a veteran teacher, there really isn't much that I haven't seen or heard about. Get Your Teach On is something fresh and new! I am excited about the opportunity to enliven my classroom with new and innovative techniques. A teacher never stops growing and learning and I am certainly no exception, as I want to continue to be the best for all of my students. I am hopeful that this conference will help me develop more fun and exciting ways to capture the attention of the learners in my classroom. By doing this, students will become more engaged, thus, making their learning even more memorable. Attending professional development classes helps so many more people than just the teacher. Students benefit because their learning is more intentional and exciting. Parents benefit because their child is excited to come to school and learn and administrators benefit because their staff is not only applying the newest skills and strategies, but they are providing best practices for kids. In summary, Get Your Teach On Regional Conference will help me develop a fun, rigorous, memorable and exciting way to teach concepts. Watching students light up, having them ask meaningful questions, and watching their confidence rise are some of the best parts of teaching. Get Your Teach On, will ensure that this happens each and every year.
