The weighted blankets will be used daily in my classroom and my co-teaching classrooms. One will be stationed in the back of my classroom for our classroom self regulation station, one will be in the office for their self regulation station, and one will be carried to my co-teach classrooms. Weighted blankets can be therapeutic for people with Anxiety, Insomnia, Autism, ADHD, PTSD and sensory processing disorders. Many of our students need these materials to allow them to reboot and continue their classwork. Weighted blankets will negate negative behavior started by the students inability to regulate stress and movement due to ADHD. Our students would benefit from the feeling of security from weighted blankets and other materials that help curtail sensory overload.
