As an English teacher, I see the need for critical reading skills everyday. Many of my students struggle to read critically due to a variety of reasons. One of these reasons being the lack of tools they have access to that allow them to physically interact with the text. My goal is to make sure that everyday, each and every student has access to pens, highlighters, post-its, and pencils in order to work through a variety of texts to increase their comprehension. I'm hoping to place a container of supplies including post-its, highlighters, pens, etc on each table so that students may have access to these resources when working independently or collaboratively with one another.
