With the onset of COVID-19, we are trying to be innovative in finding alternative ways for students to still have a quality music education in band class. To reduce the spread of airborne droplets, we are going to use some instruments that do not require air to perform on. One of these instruments we would like to have is an electric bass guitar. With an electric bass guitar, we still can have an instrument to play the low parts in our band music. With us having a bass guitar we can use this instrument for various types of ensembles such as concert band, jazz ensemble, pep band, and rock band. This electric bass guitar is smaller than an average bass guitar making it easier to hold for smaller students like in middle school. This instrument will be used multiple times a week by one of our band students to perform music for upcoming performances.
