I am a special education inclusion teacher. I am able to see my students in the general education classes and in my classroom. My students have various circumstances in the past that prevented them from meeting their full potential. These circumstances could include academics, behavior, disabilities, family need, and even the lack of disability awareness. Families and teachers are aware of a disability in students, but do not always posses the tools to accommodate the needs. I believe that giving them these sensory stimulating items will decrease behavior issues and give them more time for instruction. All of the items in my project will help with sensory for students, whether it be in the general education classroom or in the special education setting.
