Students will become aware of the important resources in their community. Lake Michigan is not only important to Milwaukee, but the world. Lake Michigan is one of the largest bodies of fresh water in the world. Students will also learn Algebra through the study of water. Why do we need math? This is the number one question I am asked year after year. Students will be able to see how math is related to water and weather. Both of which are important to living. My students need notebooks in order to make sure they can organize their finding with water collection and results.
