As a classroom with students who have special learning needs such as ADHD, Anxiety, and Autism, flexible seating is just that FLEXIBLE. It allows my students a way to move in one place while not disturbing those around them. Flexible seating options, like those I’m trying to purchase, have been proven to enhance focus thus enhancing student learning. In my cart are 4 stools. They will be used at a kidney table in my room where I work in small group, most often with my students who need more support with a lesson already taught by me or their regular classroom teacher. The four yoga balls will take the place of standard chairs. Many of the chairs in my room are old and cracked because my students just can’t sit still. They tip them back, lean sideways in them, and otherwise. They are not comfortable to the students.
