Flexible seating allows students to take control of their behavior and maintain focus on the task at hand. Flexible seating is crucial to learning for students. As an adult, I cannot sit still in a desk, feet on the floor, eyes on my work, and no movement. Since I cannot do this, I will not expect this from my students. I want them to have the ability to sit comfortably in order to help them focus. The main goal of these materials is to give my students the best environment to cultivate their learning. Technology is also crucial to today's learning environment therefore I am asking for 2 iPads. They will give students the chance to explore as well as create. The other big thing on my list are books. Being that I am a first year teacher, my classroom library is scarce. Books are a necessity to a classroom, especially a variety of books. Giving students a wide range of choices promotes the love of learning, which in turn helps the student grow.
