How to have meaningful and engaged PE classes in limited indoor space? How to respect the learning environment up and down the hall and still allow children physical activity? Yoga - to benefit both the mind and body and rescue those rainy days! Rolling out a clean and colorful mat for each child gives them a special place to explore the power within the mind and body. Creative storytelling, physical poses and challenges, breathing exercises, and meditative practices all work together to make meaningful movement possible indoors on rainy days. I'm excited to utilize my 200 hour teacher training and 25 hour certificate from Kidding Around Yoga on days that PE is not possible outdoors. Thanks for making a positive difference in the lives of New Orleans' children!
