All students deserve great, age-appropriate reading materials in every classroom, even math and science! My fourth graders will read every day this year, and I want to make sure they have plenty of books from which to choose. As a new elementary teacher who previously taught secondary, I have very few books on my new students’ reading levels. This project will help build my new classroom library with books that engage and excite my readers. My goal is to provide material on a variety of STEM topics as well as books featuring authors and characters that reflect their various cultures. I am excited to watch my students grow this year as they learn to be amazing readers and problem solvers!
