These supplies will enable me as the teacher to properly demonstrate proper use of a microscope while viewing slides in whole group, while also being able to have students in lab groups work independently, to view slides in their microscopes. This will take the conceptual aspect of science and put it to practice. Microscopes are used heavy in our 6th grade curriculum and build a strong foundation for the rest of our MS science program, where these will continue to be used, and replace our very basic $15 microscopes. This will not only make the students depth of knowledge greater but will help to better facilitate the learning process.
