Individual clipboards allow my students to move around the classroom with their supplies and complete tasks individually and/or with a collaborative group. Each student will have his/her own designated colorful clipboard to carry supplies, rough drafts, directions for projects, etc. Students can choose to work alone, in pairs, or with a small group of classmates. How exciting it is to see students collaborating with others while working on a math project or completing a Venn diagram to compare and contrast a fiction and nonfiction passage we have read and discussed as a class. Learning does not get much more exciting than that!
