Reading and critical thinking skills are two areas where many students struggle. One to one technology gives each student the chance to learn and achieve at a pace geared to their need allowing each one to be more successful. A projector would be useful for highlighting notes, videos, and other discussion activities for the class as a whole group so students in the back of the room can see as well as students who are sitting at the front. Students need headphones to enable them to listen and work through a variety of activities, videos, and simulations on Chromebooks during the class period. These computers are several years old and are not set to be replaced any time soon. Students use them in spite of the fact that many of the computers are missing multiple keys. Providing external keyboards would make using these computers much easier for my students and hopefully eliminate the frustration from using second and third hand computers.
