We need to restock our Robotics Program after many of our supplies were stolen after a breakin. Requested supplies include a drill bit set, USB cables and power adapter, a 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Desktop Switch, ethernet cables, a Rotary Tool Kit and accessories. We are requesting cables and tech supplies because we strip older computers being tossed from around our campus. We combine parts to make faster systems that we use to work on coding and programing the robots to work autonomously in the competitions we are involved in. We are trying to grow the computer lab section of our robotics program to possibly expand into working on CAD also (Computer Aided Design.) We are involved with the First Tech Challenge in which we compete with other high schools in both our area of Inglewood, Ca. and around Los Angeles. (If our robots are good enough to make it to the playoffs.) Construction of the robots requires careful planning, collaboration, and resources that are vitally needed. We are in process of writing some grants to generate some money to help pay for the Registration Fees, League Fees, and a new playing field. Our district is in state receivership, so we can't count on much money from them, and attendance is down at our school so the ADA money is a little short there too.
