After we became STEAM certified, I realized that unfortunately many of the programs and applications require an iPad. I want to be able to give my students “voice and choice” by allowing them to creatively integrate imovie technology into history, science and language arts lessons. Students will be able to make dynamic commercials, programs, newscasts, etc. that will not only show their knowledge, but teach others when making these videos. While developing vital 21st century skills that are necessary for their success, I want all of my students to have the unique opportunity to be able to use an ipad to make imovies to help bring their love for learning to life. Imovies are a powerful tool to effectively integrate and apply all common core and ISTE standards as students demonstrate their learning in collaborative groups. By using this powerful technology, I know I will be providing students a solid foundation for them to be college and career ready in a world where knowing these skills is crucial for success.
