In my classroom students are constantly working together, moving, creating projects and taking ownership in their learning. Adding these flexible seating options will help my students collaborate more, focus more and be more engaged in lessons! Wobble chairs help my fidgety kids who may have a hard time sitting still or stay in their seats by giving them the sensory needs they are missing. Bonus: improve core stability! Implementing the independent lapdesk/floor cushion work stations will provide my students with another working space for independence or collaboration. To sum it up: Students require a lot of movement. We were not made to sit stationary for long periods of time! Some of my best reading happens on my couch, and my best planning in bed! If students have the option to work at spaces that are more comfortable and provide movement opportunities, they will work harder!
