On my list I have included many different tools to help individualize student access to education. By using alternative seating and sensory items, my students can focus on the task in front of them instead of the discomfort around them in their environment. Stability ball chairs, stools without backs, various sensory items as well as alternative writing methods will all help create a classroom that can individualize the needs of all of my students with receptive and receptive communication needs. Additionally, the alternative seating provides my students more choices with the opportunity to work in groups on social skills in the classroom.
