My students need options- they sit approximately 7 hours a day. Some high school student desks are too small, others are too big, and I want to provide something that is just right. Struggling students need to feel comfortable to reach their full learning potential, and these tables are just one small way that I can provide this to them. Standing will give the students the chance to stop thinking about how they feel in the small desk and allow them the opportunity to move if they need to. Over the years I have had multiple students tell me they and work better if they are allowed to stand up, it keeps them alert and awake which increases their opportunity to learn.
