My classroom theme this year is about building relationships. My students will engage in meaningful and relevant discourse with each other as they dive into what human rights are and how real people and fictional characters change, grow and even might handle things differently when these rights are challenged. This grade level content will value and respect the social, emotional, and physiological maturity of our students while addressing their individual needs for remedial reading reinforcement in a safe and nurturing environment. They will choose a Universal Declaration of Human Rights article to use as a focal point while creating a readers theatre centered around a character of their choice from relevant text.

About my class
