My kids often come to school hungry. They find it difficult to concentrate and learn on an empty stomach. Quite often they go without breakfast and have nothing until lunch. Moreover while many qualify for free or reduced-price lunches, they often go without due to various circumstances. I would like to have longer-life span snacks available for those whose stomachs are just too empty to concentrate. A burst of energy from a small meal can make the difference between learning in class or simply shutting down. The air fresheners will feed their sense of smell and breathe some fresh air into a classroom of hormone changing 7th graders.
