The benefits of play in children lead to so much more than just having fun. When they are playing they have better health; better learning; better friendships; they communicate better; they control their impulses more and they are more creative in all areas. I want my students playing before school and during recess. I don't want the heat to prevent them from this. Let them play inside! I want a wide variety of game choices for them to choose from. They can choose building games, fine motor skill games, math, reading, whole class games or even games they can play alone.
