I believe that every student can learn, and I need to meet the needs of all the students in my classroom. Currently, the world is changing, and the way students are supported as they learn need to change as well. I believe that first graders have the ability to change the world. In our classroom, we are working on becoming better every day, and we want to be able to learn how to think critically with tools that help us on our learning journey. I believe that my students will become critical thinkers with the skills to explore and solve problems that exist in the world around them. My first graders are active, inquisitive learners who learn through exploration. We are a public school that is involved in transforming education for our students through the use of 21st-century skills. I am requesting the Dash robot as a way to learn to code along with an iPad. We are working on critical thinking skills, learning to work well in small groups, demonstrating good communication skills through listening, speaking, and presenting, and discovering the world around us.
