It's time for my classroom library to get a refresh! With a new group of rising 8th graders comes new and various interests in their reading lives. In order to continue to keep students engaged in reading it is important to update my classroom library with new books, pens and post-it notes! New Year - New Books! The books in this project are new, fresh, relevant, and diverse - reflecting both my students and the world we are living in. Having books on hand that reflect student's identities, interests, communities, and dreams (hello, fantasy genre!) helps to ensure that middle school students can continue to find the love of reading that is valued in our classroom and school community.
