The materials I have selected will make a difference in my students learning by keeping them engage and understanding that whatever it is they me going through in their own lives that they are not alone. These books will help my students identify with the characters in the book. This is important to help students become life long readers. While reading these books, we will work on writing and comprehension, by asking students to write down how they can identify with characters or to infer what the characters next step would be. The learning outcomes would be for students to be able to identify and to be able to help with their social emotional learning by writing down how they identify with the characters.
