The educational resources funded by this project will be used in my Reading Intervention lessons to demonstrate comprehension strategies to my students who are currently working a year or more below grade level. The resources are visually appealing and specific to my students reading level. Since the students are visual learners, the engaging nonfiction and fiction passages will appeal to their learning style. Students will read the cards and then apply strategies of analyzing text, making inferences, evaluating the text structure, and sharing their personal critique of the text. This will advance the students' reading proficiency and will foster their self-confidence as well as self-esteem
