In order to empower our students with the knowledge base to self regulate their emotions, behavior, and overall functioning, the students must be able to recognize and understand their own feelings. Through guided journaling, students will be provided with tools to self-reflect and develop their own coping skills in order to journey through the day meeting challenges in a positive productive manner. Through group meetings, the identified students will learn how to journal in a constructive manner with guided prompts. The environment will allow for journaling with the use of drawing and writing. Students will also be able to take journals home to begin a productive habit of journaling daily.
