Scholars have many different ways in which they learn best. Understanding the concept of how the moon affects the earth is difficult to grasp just by reading about it. These materials will assist my scholars by providing both a visual aspect with direct instruction by me and a physical, hands-on approach with the models for the scholars to manipulate. As the moon rotates, they will be able to see how the moon revolves around the earth as the earth revolves around the sun. Then the scholars will use their model to see the relationship between the sun, moon and the earth. These items will help them understand multiple concepts including the phases of the moon, why those phases happen, seasons on Earth, both spring tides and neap tides as well as learning the specific vocabulary that goes with the lessons.
