This year, I decided to embark on my Masters program with the goal of becoming a math interventionist. I've learned so many great strategies to identify and remediate student needs, as well as techniques to help me self-evaluate my instructional choices. Making and reviewing recordings of small group and individual math conferences has been exceptionally valuable in my development as an educator and interventionist, but I've been limited to audio recordings and whatever I can fit on my phone. Obtaining a designated device for these recordings will be invaluable in meeting my goal in becoming a reflective and effective educator, as I will not only be able to modify my teaching, but also develop meaningful plans for intervention for my students.
