Flexible seating has been proven to greatly improve student learning in many ways. One way is that it gives students control over their learning environment by allowing them different choices of seating. Flexible seating allows for better collaboration with students, making it easier to work together in a group then traditional desks. Children also need to move, when they cant they can become easily distracted and not engaged in learning. Flexible seating will allow students more ability to move in ways to suit their needs. It will also provide comfort, and comfortable students are more calm, focused, and productive. Lastly it provides stimulation that can help students focus and process information better. All of these are ways to greatly improve my students learning, especially my students who have special needs.
