"Variety is the spice of life." A simple line from William Cowper's poem "The Task", yet so true. My students will be learning and applying the many traditional techniques, mediums, and styles of art through a multitude of projects. However, I would also like to offer the opportunity for students to operate on an even higher level of learning; one that allows them to work in groups, emphasizing each others strengths, and encourages persistence. My goal is to create self-navigated learners who value the attributes they have to offer and celebrate the special qualities of their classmates. To watch my students become problem solvers who elevate in times of trial rather than run away. The Breakout EDU Kits allow kids to solve and conquer puzzles that align with the standards, but also allows them the opportunity and confidence to eventually create their own games.
