Who doesn't remember the first frog dissection lab in high school, down to the smell of the formalin? The experience of applying learning only read about in a book or seen second-hand is unable to be compared to a hands on lab. Students will learn scientific identification and handling through the use of the dissection tools, and will see with their own eyes the effect of dissection for scientific contributions. The excitement of lab days leads to a lasting impact for young scientists as they explore their learning in an environment with the right supplies. By doing, students hold on to the lessons of the day, applying them to the greater field of science. Exploring using close examination is part of the scientific process that will be valuable for all students, as they navigate the path a true scientist follows to gain evidence and conclusions. Help us build the supplies necessary for an engaged science classroom, where all students are learning by exploration.
