My students are Amazing English Language Learners. They are from varying backgrounds but primarily are Spanish and Portuguese speakers. They are of all levels of language acquisition, however most of the small group instruction in my classroom is provided to newcomers. Snap Words are a unique and creative way to teach newcomers sight words. They include visual representations of new words. My students will use the tablets to access educational resources on the internet as well as using google translate. The maps will be displayed for students to become familiar with the names of continents, countries and states in English.
