The main goal for this school year is to get 3rd and 4th grade students reading on and above their grade level. This goal is to be reached by the end of the school year and into the new year. I know with hard work, perseverance and dedication from both me and my students, we will be able to achieve this goal. When given the right space and opportunity, I believe all students are able to excel and perform at a high rate. In order for me to give students that space and opportunity and for me to efficiently produce avid readers, I will need the following tools to use during instructional-intervention time: pencils and red pens (for students to use during work attack practice). Pencils are used to complete work, red pens are used to check it, pencil sharpener to keep pencil sharpened, the storage bin is for students to put their books, work books and other supplies in, paper products are for when we have fun days in class such as Reading Celebration party to celebrate their reading growth, the laminating machine and laminating paper is for me to be able to laminate and hang up Outstanding student work, also the tacks and magnetic tape will be used to hang student work, the chair will be used at the kidney table for small group Reading time, posters will be hung around the classroom for motivational and resourceful purposes.
