Unfortunately, students are often stuck facing the board during notes or activities with minimal engagement. Asking a student to come to the board to write something often takes too much time and usually becomes a behavior disruption, especially with groups of 30-35 students in one class. With a classroom iPad, my Promethean Board goes mobile and so do I! I'll utilize projection software AirServer to display apps and content unique to iPad apps on the board. This will allow more students to be involved in classroom interactions. Additionally, the iPad would also allow me to improve my classroom management skills. I use the Promethean Board on a daily basis and am often "stuck" in the front of the room. The iPad would help me to become mobile around the room while continuing to control the projection screen.
