Adding these new books to our classroom library will help enrich student learning and the print-rich classroom I would love to have. Adding these books will give my students variety and choices of different interests and genres along with helping with cross-curricular lessons in my classroom. I would like to provide an encouraging environment that promotes reading and giving the opportunity to pick from a wide variety of interests and genres. I am hoping to improve my students’ independent reading level and help them develop a love of reading. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more and giving my students the opportunity to choose from a variety of topics that will not only improve their reading ability, but also their love for reading.
