We will be utilizing these art materials in our classroom environment. Often after a read-aloud text, I ask students to respond through writing about their thoughts and emotions based on the text. However, lots of students choose to express their thinking through artistic platforms. Scholars will draw with a pencil in their notebooks; however, I would like to provide them with more options to respond to reading through painting. I have several English Language Learners in class, so art is a crucial way for some scholars to present their thinking.
