Being able to refocus their energy and need to move around in their seats instead of in disrupting class is going to be extremely beneficial for my class. The lap desks will also be great for use in group work, students can comfortably and easily break away to work on the floor with partners. Not only does this give a different outlet for their energy, but it's also a great motivator for students to work towards having the privilege of choosing their seats. Having ball chairs and stools as flexible seating in my classroom will allow me more time to teach my students and less time worrying about classroom behaviors and disruptions.
