The classroom furniture will provide a safe and fun space for students to read in groups or just simply reading alone. Students will be able to apply reading strategies and be critical thinkers as they will be proud to take ownership in a classroom that has student friendly chairs and carpets. The stools will be used at a table with two computers. The students do not have any space for books or supplies so having a pocket on the back of their chair will help greatly. The drawer cabinets will also provide space for journals and books and can also be used in workstations. Having a well organized classroom helps students take ownership in learning. I want to create an environment where students do not want to leave at the end of the day and continue to want to come to school and learn. Please help me make a difference in our future generations by giving students a classroom they can be proud of. Most of my students when sharing on the topic of “My Family”, sleep on the couch or floor. I can’t wait to see what a difference it makes!
